Pulmonary Medicine

Pulmonary medicine is the medical specialty that addresses the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases affecting the lungs. Pulmonary medicine deals with many diseases and conditions, including: bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, occupational lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary tuberculosis, and sarcoidosis of the lungs.
